Soarion Federal Credit Union is seeking engaged members who are interested in serving as volunteer leaders on our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee.

As a member-owned financial cooperative, our volunteer leaders play a vital role in helping guide the strategic direction, financial strength, and long-term success of the credit union while serving the best interests of our members.

Volunteer Commitment

Our volunteers are expected to:

  • Attend regular Board or Supervisory Committee meetings
  • Review meeting materials in advance
  • Complete required governance and regulatory education
  • Exercise independent judgment and fiduciary responsibility
  • Act in the best interests of the membership
  • Support sound governance and ethical decision-making

Eligibility

  • Be a member of Soarion Federal Credit Union in good standing;
  • Be at least 18 years of age;
  • Not be prohibited from serving under applicable federal law due to a conviction involving dishonesty or breach of trust.

No previous credit union board experience is required.

Soarion believes that strong volunteer leadership is developed through education, mentorship, and ongoing training. Newly elected volunteers receive orientation and governance education to help them succeed in their role.
